It’s kinda scary how life ends up sometimes.

Not because things are awful or situations are bad, but they’re just the absolute opposite of how you had planned them to be. I’ve always been a planner. I like to know what’s coming next and how I can prepare for the future by setting up goals for what lies ahead.

But nooo, that never happens. God always turns the wheel last minute and turns me in the absolute opposite direction I had set my eyes on. And you know what I’ve finally learned?

That everything is Absolutely Okay.

But how could I be satisfied with never getting what I want?

Because I’ve fount a certain peace with the fact that I don’t know everything and God always does. He knows that the direction I was headed in was not best for me and that I need some guidance. He plans out every path and instead of fighting it, I just need to let go.

The reason I bring this up is because this summer I was FiGhTing like a maniac trying to get internships, scholarships, work experience, etc. I was getting anxiety attacks and trying so hard to plan out what I thought was best, but you know what happened? God put out a whole lot of NOPE’S and closed every single door. everyyy single ooone. I was at my last door waiting for it to open or close and I just prayed

“God, I’m really tired of fighting you on this. I’m fine with just a simple yes or no answer at this point…”

Well, I got my answer the next day. A slap in the face as I got the email saying another “nope..”. I some how felt okay about it though. So yes, this summer I am going home and working. BUT I get to see my friends graduate, get ready for college, and see my family for a whole 3 months. That’s pretty rad and I’m thankful that I’ll be able to do that.

So anyways, this story has had nothing to do with these photos lol but I felt like I needed to get that off my chest. These were taken a couple weeks ago when Eden came to visit me here in SF. I’m telling you it was the best weekend I’ve had here by far. I have missed her so so much and we had an amazing crazy time 🙂
